It is in Salers, one of the most beautiful villages in France, located in the heart of the Auvergne region, that Denise and Charly Bancarel began the beautiful family history of the Hotel Le Bailliage, more than half a century ago. With the same passion for hospitality, three generations of hoteliers have succeeded one another, each providing a warm welcome to their guests. A real institution in the village since its inception, this beautiful bourgeois building was the first hotel to welcome tourists who came to visit the stunning Salers region in 1962.
Today, Marion and Antoine Bancarel, who succeeded Dominique and Jean-Michel Gouzon, are continuing to write the hotel’s history and follow its traditions of conviviality, quality, and authenticity, which have made this family home famous.
Overlooking the Puy Violent at an altitude of 950m, the hotel Le Bailliage offers 23 rooms, a renowned semi-gastronomic restaurant with a shaded terrace, a bar, a seminar room, a spa, and an outdoor swimming pool.

The Bailliage spa, in the centre of the medieval town of Salers, is a haven of relaxation and well-being in a warm and welcoming setting. Open from 9am to 5.30pm for non-private access (up to a maximum of 8 people) or from 6pm for private access, by appointment.

The days of the family bar when Denise delighted the whole village with her delicious cuisine may be over, but the tradition of quality cuisine at the table du Bailliage lives on thanks to Antoine and Marion Bancarel, her grandchildren.
